Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend. I spent mine at my mum's up in The Lakes which gave me a perfect opportunity to check out her new business venture. She is renting a space is the gorgeous Yew Tree Barn in Low Newton. I've written about Yew Tree barn here so don't forget to have a peek at that too.
My mum is a jewellery designer/author/craftperson and for the past 8 years she's been filling the house with beads at an alarming rate! Now she has the lovely space where she can house all of her makes and ideas. Magpie In The Sky is the name of the business, you can find out more on her Facebook page here. It's the perfect place for running workshops too, if you're thinking about learning how to make jewellery in the area, let me know ;)
If you're in the area you've got to make a visit to the barn. It has everything from quirky, reclaimed statues to spoon chandeliers, candles, books, and a famous 'knob-department'. Perfect if you're wanting to add character to your home or even better if you want to find a gift for someone. It is a little off the beaten track but believe me it's worth it for the cake alone!
It was an absolutely gorgeous day so we ventured outside into the gardens to take some snaps...
I wore:
Denim Jacket: Charity Shop
Floral Top: Uniqlo
Tutu Skirt-Ebay (this seller)
Boots: New Look
Belt: Charity Shop
Sunglasses: Betsey Johnson via TKMaxx
Gorgeous blue blooms & telling the time with a sundial :)
The best coffee & walnut cake, outfit details & chilling with the Persian rugs ;)
Have you visited Yew Tree Barn before? How would you feel about attending jewellery/craft workshops?
Thanks for reading :)
