Outfit of the day-ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW

Helloooo everybody!
So I thought I'd *attempt* to do an outfit post in the back yard of my new house. It's pretty overgrown and messy. The landlord uses it as a bit of a dumping ground and usually there are cars parked there, but I thought I'd take advantage of the sunshine and get back into using my tripod again...so here are the results!

Leather jacket-New Look
Scarf-Charity shop
Rocky Horror tee-Urban outfitters (old)
Shorts-New Look
Tights-ASOS
Shoes-Miista

So I look about 10 feet tall in these boots but I don't care coz they are beautiful  & they were only £1, yes you read that right ONE BRITISH POUND! I'm sure some of you were aware of the crazy twitter sale that Miista ran last week but I was incredibly lucky to nab these beautys for £1 as shortly after they sold out and the site crashed! Alas no other shoes were reduced quite as much but there were still some bargains to be had and even the gorgeous Paloma Faith tweeted about the offer to get reduce the price for everyone! These shoes should've been £185 so they are definitely my bargain of the year so far :)
My seethingly jealous house mate *Hi Jess* said they looked like 'transvestite shoes' so I thought my Rocky horror tee would be the perfect accompaniment!

I struggled a bit with the tripod but hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things again soon. I have SO much uni work to get on with! Its my portfolio deadline on the 25th so I have 5 projects to finish before then. I need to do a still life photoshoot and finish off 5 sketchbooks as well as sorting out the layout and printing my portfolio! Waah so stressed! So expect 'Inspired By The Retired' to be a little quiet over the next two weeks!

* I am currently back home in The Lakes with my family at the moment as it is my lil sisters birthday! So this is a semi-scheduled post!*

Would you like to see more outfit posts? How do you cope with mounds of uni work?
Thanks for reading :)

I have so much work to do with my MA, how do I cope? I DONT. I spend and unhealthy amount of time holding back tears on my commute xx

  2. I was really bad when I was at uni, I always left things to the last minute, working right to the deadline. Now that i'm back at college, i'm determined not to do that, but after working all day college work is the last thing I want to be doing.
Also i'm doing photography at the moment and I have a tripod, but it doesn't seem very sturdy. Could you recommend a good one?!
