One of my favourite places in Lancaster is the Antiques Centre. It is a huge Aladdin's cave of whimsy and wonderment! There are lots of little stalls packed into a deceptively standard looking building, hidden away on the retail park. If you're like me and love car boot sales but hate trudging around in the cold, the antiques centre is perfect as it's all indoors.
"GB Antiques Centre is now one the country’s biggest indoor antiques and furniture centres, attracting over 200,000 visitors every year. Recently extended, with over 100 individual dealers, each with their own specialities, GB Antiques Centre has an amazing choice and variety of wares. Whether you have a passion for paintings or porcelain, Deco or dolls, fine arts or furniture, you can really indulge yourself!" www.gbantiquescentre.com/
Unlike many antiques places the prices are so reasonable, obviously it varies from stall to stall but they have loads of furniture bargains. If you like old junk treasure and you're in the Lancaster area I'd really recommend a visit! It's only £1.50 to get in and you'll be there for hours rummaging through everything.
I didn't buy anything last time as I'm skinty skint (as per) but here are some (Instagrammed!) photos of some of my favourite knickknacks I saw...
Soap Crate// Pegasus Plate// Hats & Trinkets// Typewriter
Vintage Clothes// Cute Dog Tin//Vintage Cameras// Old Instant Camera
Have you been to an antiques centre before?
Thanks for reading :)
